Zoo

Last Sunday, we took James to the zoo! Grandma Wisch's company hosted a fundraiser pancake breakfast and walk, and we were excited to show James all of the animals and support the cause. We had a great morning. James loved the zoo! His favorite animals seemed to be the giraffes, gorillas and tropical fish. I think we will be regulars here next spring/summer!

First Church & Wedding!

This weekend, our friends Thom and Mackenzie got married! 

This marked James's first time in church and first time seeing a Catholic wedding ceremony. I know, we really should be going to church on a regular basis already...one day! Anyway, I wondered if the sounds were familiar to him, as we attended four weddings last summer while I was pregnant! There were a few close calls as he got to talking, lots of little 'Ma!' and 'Mama's!' were coming from our side of the church during those quiet moments. However no tears or screams, therefore, James did great! Such a good boy. His eyes got so big taking it all in, and he loved listening to the music. There was also lots of clapping for the happy couple. 

Handsome little man! The funny part about these pictures is that James is holding one of his socks, throughout the entire hour long ceremony. Diaper changes have been quite the charades game lately, trying to give him something to hold to distract him long enough to change him. Insert navy sock here, as selected item this day, which seemed to come along for the ride. It apparently became his security sock!

Beautiful couple, gorgeous bride! 

Thanks to my parents for watching James, while we had a fun, much needed, date night at the reception with friends. Lots of dancing!! Now I know why new parents go crazy at weddings and leave it all on the dance floor as if they are 21 again and don't have to wake up at 6 am with a baby... That is now us! Totally worth it. :)

Here We Go Brownies!

James had his very first Sunday football experience today! Bobby and Brian hosted a Sunday beer & brunch. James loved being 'one of the guys.' Great way to kick off football season!
