Happy Birthday, James!

 We had a great day celebrating! We both were able to take the morning off and take James to the Children's museum. He had a fun day of exploring hands-on pretend play exhibits of all kinds from the farm, city vehicles, grocery shopping, dress up, water tables and playing in the sand!

Thanks - Santa's Helpers!

Santa's helpers (aka Phil and James) gave me an early gift this year! 

I am very excited to be testing out my new DSLR camera! And, I'm pretty sure James is making fun of me and my new camera, as I try to figure this thing out and take tons of pictures of him. He ran to get the binoculars in an effort to imitate me and the new contraption around my neck... :)

Santa Claus

This year, James was excited to see Santa. Here he is all dressed and ready to go!

But, he still did not want to sit on his lap! So here we are.

He did, however, give Santa a high five and 'hit the rock' with him. He was so excited that he met 'Santa Claus' and his 'wife' Mrs. Claus! 

Hard to believe this little guy will be 2, next week!

Christmas Lights

James loves driving around looking at Christmas lights. Two years ago, the weekend James was due, we visited the house in the musical streets to see the huge light display. This year, same weekend, we just happened to take James there to see it. He loved it!

Baby Luke!

Back in November, we took a road trip down to Cincy for a friend's wedding. For James, the big event was both the road trip itself and getting to meet his new little buddy, Baby Luke. Since Phil travels often for work, James always asks to go on trips himself. He has been talking about Baby 'Uke', as he says, ever since he was born at the end of October, when I showed him his picture and he has not stopped asking about him since. Anytime we see a baby out in the world, their name is of course Baby Luke. I think the question of a road trip is asked daily and every time I ask, 'Where to?' he replies with a big smile, 'Go see Baby Luke!' 

So excited for the 4 hour road trip ahead 

For an active little guy, he was so good in the car. 

Of course, books and puzzles on the iPad came in handy, too.

Love these two!

We loved meeting Baby Luke and seeing our good friends, proud new parents, Katherine and Greg! Love you guys - Luke is just precious. Congrats again!
