River Days

Touch-a-Truck, bouncy houses, pony rides, live music and great food.
Awesome weather for our town's annual summer festival!
J's very first pony ride.
Baseball, of course.
And new on his list of sports he enjoys: Fencing
Or, as he prefers to call it "jousting"
The tallest and longest slide he's ever encountered.
Probably climbed up and slid down this Titanic 10 times.
No fear, laughed the whole time. He LOVED it!
Complete with ice cream sandwich smiles  :)

Happy 4th!

We had a great 4th of July weekend. Beautiful weather, parade, car show, playgrounds, picnic, cookout, skipping stones at the lake and swimming at the pool! Of course, I only took pictures at the parade. What more could we ask for? Oh yes... face paint too!
James' 1st face painting.
He sat so still and was very proud.
He chose a heart with an American flag for "America's Birthday"
Ready for the parade!
Loving catching the candy!
Happy Independence Day!

Chicago

In June, we made a quick weekend trip to Chicago to visit with friends and celebrate Lindsay's birthday. James was thrilled to wear his backpack, go on a plane and sit in his own seat. After reading "Goodnight Chicago" a million times, he finally got to see the city for himself! James enjoyed the Farmer's Market, Lincoln Park Zoo, nearby playgrounds, cookout with friends and of course, a "Cubbies" baseball game!  Great weekend. Just wished we could have stayed longer!
I didn't pay attention to this at the time, but looking at the sequence of these photos makes me laugh. Notice how James leaves Cleveland wearing his Indians hat and shirt? Well, after his visit with Linds and outing to Wrigley Field, he now sports a new baseball hat love. :)
James riding the L for the first time!

Happy Birthday Aunt Linds!

Converted Cubbies fan. Until next time, Chicago!

Tribe Game!

First Indians game of the season for us this weekend!
As you can imagine, James LOVED it. Every minute. Perfect day for baseball!

Soccer!

And if he's not playing baseball...
you can bet he's kicking a soccer ball!
I have a feeling t-ball and soccer will be our summers next year when he's 3!

Dentist

James came with me to my dentist appointment this week. When asked if he wanted his teeth "cleaned" (aka counted), he hopped right in the chair and let Dr. Dan check out his pearly whites. He currently has 3 molars trying to pop through! He was very proud of his new toothbrush and toy.
