Thursday was my birthday. What a great day!
Although it is technically "Spring" now, I woke up to a blanket of snow outside. James took me to Starbucks for a morning coffee treat, and my girlfriend Casey came over with her 2 year-old son, Evan, to come play around with the camera and take pictures of James in his nursery. Fun morning! Casey was able to get some beautiful shots, and Evan had fun exploring the house and all of James' books/toys! Let's just say I got a good glimpse of what my future holds in just about a year and a half!
That evening, Phil surprised me with dinner reservations and his Mom came over to watch James. This marked our first dinner date out, without the little man. Although I was nervous to leave him for a few hours (I probably talked about him and looked at his picture at least 10 times), I knew he was in good hands. After dinner, we checked in and got the green-light from Grandma that we could continue the night and go to a movie. He did great (thanks Grandma)! We thought it was funny that our first movie sans James was Oz the Great and Powerful, the prequel to the classic, because we were watching The Wizard of Oz the night my water broke!
These pictures mark a big week - last year of my twenties for me, and the beginning of THREE months for James (today, on 3/23)! Perfect way to capture it. I love them all. THANK YOU, Casey!!
