We cannot believe James is already TWO months old! His two month immunizations delayed the photo shoot posting this month, but here it is!
Jamesy LOVES:
Smiling, raspberries, drooling, babbling, play gym, kicking, kick piano, singing songs and lullabies (especially Twinkle Twinkle Little Star), story time, baths, baby massage, car rides, stroller/shopping cart rides, swing (really just movement of any type), white noise (running water and ocean sounds still win him over), snuggling, being held (both to feel secure and to get a better view), moving his head from side to side very fast, looking at the TV (although we try to keep him from doing so, he always finds it!), sucking on his fist/fingers, soothie pacifier (only the one from the hospital still)
Jamesy DOESN'T LOVE:
Gas, burps, tummy time (even though he's good at it!), hair loss, baby acne
Little man is quite the sweetheart. He is only two months old and still so tiny, but somehow seems so much older to me, like a little old soul. James is very alert and aware of his surroundings, constantly taking it all in. He has phenomenal head control for being only 10 weeks old. So much so that I took the newborn snuzzler out of his car seat, now he sits in there like a big little guy! He started smiling last month, but this month is so much more interactive! He will smile back at you when you smile at him, or talk to him in a higher pitch voice (I think this is why he is so popular with the ladies!). James smiles with his whole face; his eyes get squinty and his whole mouth opens up in excitement. It melts my heart every time. Even at 4 am. We think he is on the brink of laughing, but not quite there yet. He is very observant, he watches my mouth when I talk, and you can see the wheels turning. He will try to "talk back" by moving his mouth around and giving out little whispers, coos and his latest favorite, raspberries! He definitely babbles in true "Gibbs" boy fashion. All those years of practice for Dad making strange noises is now coming back full circle! James is growing and changing everyday and it is so exciting to watch. He amazes us daily, such a joy!
